In 2017, the city of Pocatello, Idaho held a design contest for a new flag. This was a response to being categorized as having the worst city flag in the continent, by the North American Vexillological Association.

Below is my proposed design, which honors the stacked mountain symbolism pictured on their old flag, and the three prominent peaks surrounding the city (Scout Mountain, Kinport Peak, and Chinese Peak). The sky colors consist of blue representing history, white symbolizing future, and burnt orange for innovation. All three colors move in a diagonal pattern from a sturdy foundation, signifying motion, moving forward, and looking beyond the horizon.

Pocatello's city council released the final design, a conglomeration of several different contest submissions, which can be viewed here.
